Thursday. Have not seen J.J.R. yet, expect to tomorrow, but don't know. Will be home whether or no on Saturday I think by either the 8 or 10 am train, but will say tomorrow. The weather is wretched, poured down all day. J.J.R. not down, away at Emerdale.
Had a lovely rest up here on Monday. It blew a gale all day yesterday - but lovely today, although very chilly. Coming to St Helen's tomorrow. Just came in from Fleetwood. Hope you had a good time last week, mate, and that mother is well. Love from E. E.
Dear Liza, We arrived safe in Helensburgh. We all went to Sunday school treat on Wednesday. We enjoyed the trip very much. Pa, ma and children are quite well and send their love. We are having fine and warm weather. Love from yours, E. Osmond PS. I wish you was with us.
My Dear Arch, I hope you did not have your head blown off last night (else I shall not be able to cure those). I nearly lost mine over the bridge! The weather does not look very promising again. I suppose it will be pouring wet tonight. I hope it won't because of our shopping. We shall see you about 10 o'clock. I don't support you will get to ours before that. Goodbye for now. Yours MAY
