Welcome to PostcardTree, a Geopast project.
Get the real story of your ancestors.
Our Story
PostcardTree was born out of the Founder Institute, the leading idea-stage accelerator for startups. Geopast is the company behind PostcardTree, and our mission is to unlock your ancestors’ stories from the world’s postcards.
PostcardTree
PostcardTree is a history archive and marketplace where you can research, share, buy and sell vintage handwritten postcards.
Features
We provide access to the past by making handwritten postcards searchable by who, where and when.
Community
We’re not just for history buffs! Anyone who loves a good story, enjoys vintage design or is simply plain old curios, PostcardTree is definitely for you.
Worldly
We’ve got stories from all over the world. New postcards are uploaded by users, collectors, historical society, archives, libraries and museums every day.
Why Postcards?
Postcards contain unique stories not found anywhere else. Traditional genealogy records contain important facts like birth, death and marriage – all needed to build a family tree. These facts are great, but postcards reveal the story.
